School of Biomedical Engineering Case Study

Spotlighting Biomedical Breakthroughs

We recently wrapped an inspiring project with the School of Biomedical Engineering at UBC, celebrating the grand opening of the brand new, state of the art Gordon B. Shrum Building. Over several days of filming, we had the chance to speak with more than 20 researchers who are pushing boundaries in fields like cellular and molecular engineering, computational biology, and human-interfacing devices.

WHAT WE DID

  • Promotional & Vision Videos
  • Research Spotlight Series
  • Student & Donor Features
  • Photography
  • Editorial & Social Media Assets

Project Overview

This was a rich and wide-ranging production that captured the depth of SBME’s work both on campus and in the broader community. Over the course of a few weeks, we created a full set of stories designed to support student recruitment, donor engagement, research communication, and social outreach. From documenting hands-on learning to profiling complex lab work, everything we produced helped bring SBME’s vision for health and innovation to life.

The Outcome

A huge thank you to you and your team for getting this done in such an efficient way. We really appreciate all of the work. Everything has been great on the jumbo screen so far – the teams are loving them and we have received some great feedback.

More Than Motion

In addition to video, we delivered a photography collection that captures SBME’s environments and artistic design, featuring their custom created murals. These stills were formatted for social platforms, web, reports, and internal communications, offering a flexible toolkit to communicate SBME’s identity and values across formats and timelines.
