FORWARD, the campaign for UBC, launched in September, 2022 with the goal of raising $3 billion to benefit research, teaching and learning across both Vancouver and Okanagan campuses in three key areas – advancing healthy lives, creating solutions for the planet, and shaping thriving societies.

Following the success of Development and Alumni Engagement’s Blue and Gold Campaign, FORWARD needed to engage donors with a fresh perspective and visual approach. UBC Studios, working alongside the creative agency TAXI, brought their creative vision to life with several videos.
The first goal was promoting the in-person ‘Forward Thinkers’ event with a series of nine videos featuring each Forward Thinker. Additionally, two keystone campaign videos were created to build on the excitement by eloquently explaining the case for giving, showcasing why, and how UBC and UBC Okanagan are global leaders, worthy of support while introducing the three themes.
