“Benefits are Awesome” by UBC Studios has been awarded the prestigious “Best of District VIII Award” by the Council for Advancement & Support of Education (CASE). District VIII entails hundreds of educational institutions within Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. This project was created for Alumni UBC to help inform graduating students and alumni of the perks and benefits of being an UBC Alumni in a fun and engaging way, and also to attract the attention of marginally or non-engaged alumni who have otherwise not engaged with alumni UBC’s more conventional communications.
The video was produced in-house by alumni UBC staff, the university’s in-house production studio, and through the contributions of alumni in the Vancouver creative community in front of and behind the camera.
